Luvira Consulting is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including those with visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive differences.
Our standard
We design and maintain luviraconsulting.com to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the W3C. This is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and, in California, applied through the Unruh Civil Rights Act, as well as the EU Web Accessibility Directive.
What we do
- Text and background colors meet WCAG AA contrast ratios
- Every image has descriptive alternative text
- Every form field has a visible label
- The site is fully navigable by keyboard alone
- Interactive elements have visible focus indicators
- Headings follow a logical, unskipped hierarchy
- We honor
prefers-reduced-motionsettings for any animations - Our site language is declared for screen readers
What we know is still in progress
Accessibility is ongoing work. Areas where we are still improving:
- Video content (when added) will include captions and transcripts
- We periodically audit the site with automated tools (axe, WAVE) and manual testing
Third-party content
Some parts of the site rely on third-party services (scheduling and email tools, embedded social content, and similar). We cannot fully control the accessibility of those services, but we select providers who take accessibility seriously.
